She was given piano lessons beginning at age 7, with organ added at age 12, and vocal lessons at age 15. She has a music degree from Heidelberg University (Tiffin, Ohio, affiliated with the United Church of Christ). Her teaching has been part time at home (piano/vocal),with added vocal teaching at Mesa, City, Grossmont and Southwestern Colleges.
Choir directing previously at Christ the Cornerstone Lutheran in Mira Mesa, she’s enjoyed many ‘Church Musician’ seminars both locally, at Concordia College, Irvine, and with the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians, meeting in Richmond, VA.
Her husband, Randy, a graduate in music from Concordia College, Moorhead, Mn. is a wonderful choir manager, and anchor singer/cantor for the TLC choir. They’ve raised 3 children, and are enjoying the antics of 4 grandchildren.
