Summer Worship Times June 2 – through September 1

Summer Sunday Mornings 9:00AM – Traditional Services
The center of our worship service is the proclamation of the Good News of Jesus Christ and the celebration of the Lord’s Supper. We believe that Jesus Christ is truly present in our worship in a special way through his word and the meal we share. When we partake of the bread and wine at communion, we offer prayers of thanksgiving for all that God has given us. Thanksgiving is the meaning of the Greek word Eucharist. We invite all Christian believers to join us in taking communion.

Summer Sunday Mornings 10:30am – Growth and Outreach (GO) Service
Contemporary Worship
This family-focused service, featuring our live praise band, includes powerful contemporary Christian music that prepares our hearts for a message that emphasizes the relevance and truth of God’s Word to our modern-day lives.

Through this service we foster our own personal relationships with Jesus Christ, even as we reach out to others so that they may grow in their personal faith.

After gathering songs and Holy Communion, children ages 3 through 12 move to Godly Play classrooms (unless they prefer to stay with their parents).

Godly Play LogoChildren’s Sunday School 10:10am starts up in September.
Godly Play is based upon the recognition that children have an innate sense of the presence of God. The Godly Play approach teaches classical Christian language in a way that enhances the child’s authentic experience of God so it can contribute to the creative life of the child and the world.

Children’s Christian Education at TLC includes “Godly Play” on Sundays during our 10 am Go Service for ages K-6.  Tuition is free and participants need not be members of TLC. Pre-schoolers are welcome, too!  For questions, please email Charlotte Berry.

The heart of our faith is the marvelous grace of God, which frees us from our burdens and saves us for service to God and to one another. In the sermons preached here, you will more than likely hear word of hope and forgiveness rooted in the promises of God.

Tierrasanta Lutheran Church is a liturgical church. That means that our worship services follow the ancient Christian calendar, which divides the year into seasons related to the life of Christ. Beginning with the Advent season before Christmas, we follow the gospel story through to the Passion of our Lord and His resurrection at Easter.
